This is my re-envisioned building of Gehry’s vitra museum. It will be continually use the name vitra. It is no longer a museum but as a architecture studio instead. I re-located the building into a busy and modern city area which is a good place for an office as there will be more social connections. The building has been divided into two parts, the main part is the studio and the side cross section is the living area. This studio is particular designed for architects whom seems have to work 42 hours a day. I have inspired by a sires of photos that shows a bunch architects or architecture students who works so hard in the studio and have no time to go home and have a good sleep or take shower. So I been thinking to design a building consist of studio function and living function. It is very similar as SOHO but not only for single use.

My re-envision concept is generally converting the vitra museum into a special studio. I have choose two components of the initial building as the base shape of the studio which is cube and a cross shape. Frank Gehry’s design concept is combination of geometrical solid and one of the most important re-envision point is to modify the building to be lighter，therefore I designed the building layers as different geometry shapes which both meet Gerhy’s concept and also avoid the heavy look of solid boxes.

I chose to use the Solar Cell Panel to be the top roof which is also the energy source,the panels were combined to a curly round shape for receiving the sun light from any angles. I also placed the lightning conductor, signal receiver, Power Supply & Distribution Facilities and such essential components of the building on the top roof level.
The entire building is covered with glass wall that in accordance with my re-envision concept which is modify the building to transparent. Since the function of the building is as an office, the transparent glass wall can provide an open atmosphere. Also, the building can utilize the natural light, in other way, it reduce using the electronic power.
Several plants have been placed inside the building, not only for the ornamental purpose，but it also can produce so much oxygen thronging the process of photosynthesis，which created a low carbon environment. Also, the wood textures applied on most part of the building to generate natural environment sense.
Meeting room is on the top level and individual office is on the next level. Another level down is the open work space. Space is multiple leveled with geometrical area, and it is free transfer in between the office or other using purpose such as exhibition. Living area is in cross shape that reflected the vitra museum well. With my arrangement of the cross solid, it created 3 roof top terraces with a good path way and this will be less waist of the area.
